What's your favourite Celebrity Slang? - Naeto C's Yes Boss!!! This was a question i asked some of my colleagues in school. So on a random survey, this slang has taken over the mouths of various youths across Africa. This is a Slang Signature introduced by Naeto C. It's a slang that's used to show respect to another person, of course you dont expect to use this for your parents...lol. That brings us to the question, Who is Naeto C? According to Wikipedia, Naetochukwu Chikwe (born 17 December 1982), stage name Naeto C, is a Nigerian rapper, Afrobeat artist and record producer. He was born in Houston, Texas and is of Nigerian origin.
Naeto C's parents are of the Igbo ethnic group in Owerri,Nigeria, Nigerian Ambassador to Ireland, Doctor Mrs. Kema Chikwe and Chief Herbert Chikwe. He spent his early years in that city, in a household very influenced by music. His fondness for music grew fast and was articulated into other creative art forms, most specifically poetry, which took him to various competitions and earned him accolades as a young poet. He attended the prestigious Atlantic Hall secondary school in Epe, Lagos.

Naeto graduated with a BSc in biology in 2004, but opted to become a self-employed entrepreneur instead of pursuing his intended career in medicine. It was around that time that Nigeria-based Storm Records expressed an interest in signing him and his brother, having heard their tracks on radio.

He intended to go study further and become a medical doctor. After some deep self-searching he changed his mind and decided to pursue his dream and develop his talent as a musician.He is currently pursuing a masters degree in oil and gas engineering at the University of Dundee.


AWARDS
 Naeto C, Won  Best New Musician (MTV Africa Music Awards 2008) "Won" - Video Of The Year (Channel O Music Video Awards 2009) and  Best New Artist (MTV Africa Music Awards 2009).
Naeto C is one of Africa’s biggest stars, able to command fees of up to $100,000 per gig. Sales in Nigeria alone topped three million in 2008, the same year he won Best New Act at the prestigious MTV African Music Awards.

Naeto C has been nominated in the ‘African Artiste of the Year’ category,The 2012 edition of the annual Ghana Music Awards will hold on April 14, 2012 and organizers have released the list for this year’s nominees.
The unveiling was done Wednesday February 29, 2012 at studios of GH One Entertainment Television and was witnessed by members of the media, VGMA Academy and Board members and organizers of the event.
The ‘African Artiste of the Year’ category is highly dominated by Nigerian acts with Naeto C, Duncan Mighty, Ice Prince, D’banj, Wizkid received nods. Cabo Snoop is the other contender in the category who is non-Nigerian.
There are 30 categories, 23 were announced; Organizers say the seven other categories are ‘honorary and technical’ and have promised to announced winners of those categories at the main awards night on April 14, 2012 in the Dome at the Accra International Conference Centre.


NAETO C PROPOSED TO LONGTIME GIRLFRIEND, NICOLE
The event was held on the 29th of December, 2011. A great way to end the year, you say? It would be recalled that the award-winning artiste of great hits like Kini big deal and Ten over Ten started dating part-time model and daughter of Germaine Autos owner, Nicole Chukwueke.

Although the handsome son of former Aviation minister, Dr. Kema Chikwe kept denying the rumours that he was romancing the lady, the lovebirds took their relationship further by officially ‘meeting the parents’ some months ago. While Naeto holds a Master’s degree from the University of Dundee in Scotland; Nicole studied at a University in the UK.


CONTROVERSIES
Davido paid Neato C N1million for hit single 'Back When .
Up and coming music artiste, Davido, came into the public-fore last year with his hit single, Back When.
The two singles (Back When and Damiduro) of son of a billionaire business mongul, Deji Adeleke, have now become street songs.
According to gist confirmed by Nigeriafilms.com from a reliable source, the young artiste paid the sum of N1million to rapper, Neato C, who is the son of former Aviation Minister, Kema Chikwe, to feature in the song, Back When.
 Davido approached Neato C to feature in the said song. Though Neato C did not want to be part of the song, but as a way to tell him no, he charged Davido a million naira, thinking he would not be able to afford the amount.
The source further said that Davido did not waste time in making the money available to Neato C, who then agreed to do the song with Davido.
